What should I wear for a professional headshot?
Solid colors and classic, well-fitting pieces usually photograph best. Avoid busy patterns that compete with your face. Bring additional options if your session includes multiple looks.
How long does a standard headshot session take?
Scott’s standard experience is typically about an hour including shooting and image review. The focused Gruene Standard is intentionally much shorter.
Do you help with posing and expression?
Yes. Guided posing and expression coaching are core parts of the experience. You are not expected to arrive knowing what to do in front of the camera.
How many outfits should I bring?
For sessions that allow variety, two to three strong options is a practical starting point. Scott can help determine which looks fit your goals.
When do I select my images?
Image selection is completed the same day for the published headshot sessions, so you know which frames are moving into final retouching.
How quickly are final images delivered?
The current published goal is final edited delivery within 72 hours, with faster turnaround potentially available for an additional rush fee.
What does standard retouching include?
Typical work includes blemish cleanup, shine reduction, under-eye refinement, subtle wrinkle softening, teeth and eye refinement, glare reduction, exposure and color correction, and final cropping.
Why would I need more than one headshot?
Different platforms call for different levels of formality. A small image library gives you more flexibility for LinkedIn, company websites, press, speaking, social media and future opportunities.
